ASK THE MUTTERERS

Does it Matter the Price?

2 min read

Why is that when we are presented with a gift by either our partners, friends, family etc. we are always eager to know the worth of it.

After unwrapping, we get either thrilled at it or mundane. Then whoops the next thing that comes to our mind is… ‘ to know how much this cost?’

O Google is always a saver lol😂. If we find nothing tangible we start to ask close parties if they have an idea on how much it’s sold, Some of us even go to the extent of entering gift stores around to see if we can peek on the price.

More than half the time, when we discover it is ‘expensive’ we get so happy and begin to ‘handle with care’. if it’s a knock off, we feel insulted most times. We refuse to cherish it and very likely we change our perspective about the person who gifted us.

Should the price of a gift item decide how much value we place on it?

Does it matter the price?

What should really matter in my opinion is that it is a gift . Gifts are special and rare to come by. They do not have to be too expensive to make an impact.

Instead of getting eager to know the price of a gift, why not divert such eagerness to see through the heart it came from. Sure you must have gifted someone before, let me ask,  was it easy getting the perfect gift? You get soooo confused dont you?😳😳.

Let’s learn to appreciate gifts OK!

Amazing!
It is surprising to know that people really go this far to know the cost of gist presented to them.
One thing is certain, itst only those people that do not give that act this way.
Givers don’t act that way.
Givers appreciate the heart that gives …not necessarily the quality of the gift.

A gift shows that someone cares about you and you are constantly on his/her mind. I believe gifts should be cherished no matter how cheap it is because a lot of thought must have been put into it before it was purchased.

We all are guilty of that….. Actually that action will have two effect,.
1. You can either get super excited and wanna reciprocate the good even more better
. 2. Or it demoralize you and change the feeling

Abeg not everyone is guilty o. The discription in this write-up sounds so stressful. Why would someone pass through all those stress for a gift. I appreciate every gift given to me and I don’t care to check for the price. Even if I don’t like the gift, I’ll still accept it and give it to someone who likes it.

I usually don’t get gifts like I get “Thank yous” and all that. I still remember when a young girl gave me a gift on my birthday like 4 years ago or so… Even the way with she sent someone to drop if off my door with a knock and disappear got me feeling so mushy. . I’m usually overwhelmed by gifts and random kindness that I forget to weigh it. . I’ve seen people who weigh theirs and wait for that person’s day and they’ll give them the same measure of what they received. . We can actually do… Read more »
